Introducing Clear-Guard Polycarbonate Security Bars
When it comes to window security, Extendable Window Bars have long been a trusted favourite. They’re adjustable, robust, reliable, and straightforward.
But sometimes customers ask: “Can we have something without the bulky look?"
While window bars deliver maximum toughness and act as a visual deterrent, not everyone wants their property to resemble a fortress. This is why we developed an alternative: Clear-Guard Polycarbonate Security Bars.
Clear-Guard was designed as the answer. By combining impact-resistant polycarbonate slats with a sleek aluminium frame, we created a system that:
-
Protects against forced entry.
-
Maintains natural light and visibility.
-
Looks modern and discreet.
-
Installs easily as a DIY project.

Conclusion: Window Bars vs. Clear-Guard
Extendable Window Bars are adjustable, visibly strong, and still the best choice if you want a powerful visual deterrent. Their “tough look” alone can scare off intruders before they even try.
Clear-Guard, on the other hand, is designed for those who prefer subtle security. It won’t scare intruders at first glance, but once tested, it performs with steel-like strength.
Both products are excellent — it simply depends on your priorities:
-
Choose Window Bars if you want maximum deterrence and visible strength.
-
Choose Clear-Guard if you want modern style, clear views, and invisible security.
For larger-scale and/or compliance-specific installations, our parent company, Xpanda Security, offers fully engineered custom systems.
